Theory of the Fourth Practice

Besides using listening in extended periods, there is also the "sudden impact" type of psychic training. In these cases, instead of waiting for something to emerge after lowering the "noise" of the mind, we by-pass the noise with a sudden choice. Theoretically, this would be a useful model in our less developed past when survival depended on making the split-second decision when chasing down game or facing an attack.

We model this by comparing sets of images, or groups of words or numbers, where one member of the group is a target.

The Fourth Task.
